Founded in 2022 by Rich Conklin, Primary Concrete is an Austin, Texas–based skatepark construction firm operating nationwide. Rich brings more than a decade of dedicated experience in the skatepark building industry, having designed, managed, and constructed projects across diverse climates, communities, and regions throughout the United States and internationally.

Primary Concrete was intentionally built as a small, tight-knit team of 10 lifelong skateboarders and skilled craftspeople. Our size is our strength. We operate with the agility, accountability, and hands-on investment of a boutique firm while delivering projects at the scale, organization, and professionalism of a much larger company.

Our streamlined structure allows us to move efficiently, make informed decisions in real time, and adapt quickly to evolving site conditions.

Design is at the core of everything we do. We prioritize flow, line diversity, durability, and long-term ride quality from the ground up — not as an afterthought.

Beyond technical execution, we incorporate creative paint applications and artistic detailing that elevate each skatepark beyond standard construction. These finishing touches can reflect the identity, culture, and character of the town or city we are building in — creating not just a skatepark, but a place that feels rooted in its community.
